Happy New Year to members, family and friends and look forward to 2026 being a great year. We rounded off 2025 with the sub-Branch Christmas Luncheon which was well attended. A big thank you to the Auxiliary for hosting the luncheon, as well to sponsors of our raffle prizes. Lunch packs were delivered to veterans who were not able to make it on the day.
Vinnies Christmas Hampers were delivered to veterans who have been having a challenging time in the past year. We thank Anne Hayward and our local St Vincent de Paul Committee for supporting our veterans.
Stan Berriman awarded RSL Life Membership: RSLNSW has advised that our esteemed Treasurer and Commemorations MC, has been awarded this honour. Arrangements are underway for a mid-February 2026 ceremony to be held. Congratulations Stan and well deserved!
Sub-Branch AGM March 2026: Please note. This year the AGM is scheduled for Sunday 1st
March 2026 commencing at 10am and will be held at the Sussex Inlet RSL sub-Branch Hall.
Sub-Branch Initiatives
Completion of the NSW Government Community Building Partnerships Grant Project: Good
news is that the Interior sub-Branch Hall Project (painting and floor levelling) has been completed on time and on-budget. A big thank you to all sub-Branch Service and Auxiliary Members who helped with all the preparation work and the reinstallation work once the work was completed. In addition to the project painting the main hall interior ceiling and walls requiring some plaster repair work to the ceiling, the opportunity to paint the window frames was also taken as they were extremely dry and probably not painted since 1974! The Hall is certainly refreshed and we hope all Hall users enjoy the renovations.
ANZAC Day 25th April 2026: The sub-Branch is planning its ANZAC Day program of Dawn
Service, Gunfire Breakfast, Church Service, March, Morning Service and Luncheon. As the date gets closer we will have more information about the arrangements.
